This winter parka reliably protects its wearer from the elements. It starts with the cut: it is unusually long for a parka. The Riri two-way zipper is covered by a wide buttoned placket and the sleeve openings are fitted with close-fitting, wind-repellent knitted cuffs. The detachable hood is padded, as is the entire parka. The warming effect of this padding is further enhanced by the woollen lining. The parka's outer material is the tightly woven, moderately wax-based impregnated and breathable EtaProof®. Drawstrings in the hood, at waist height and at the hem allow the width to be individually adjusted, while the dovetailed back increases comfort. Two buttoned flap pockets at the front, two vertical zipped pockets on the chest and two inside pockets can hold small items for everyday use.Naturally rainproof: EtaProof®.EtaProof® is a breathable cotton cloth made by the Zurich-based weaving mill Stotz that uses the protective principle of umbrella silk to keep you dry when the rain isn't coming down in torrents from the sky. The moderately wax-based impregnated fabric is woven so tightly that the fibers swell on contact with moisture and water droplets bead up on the surface. As a natural fiber, EtaProof® naturally cannot and will not compete with synthetic fabrics.
